About this video
South Africa hosted the G20, flew the one working fighter jet and cut the grass for global leaders — but 4,000 squatter camps, broken policing and a collapsing state tell a very different story.
In this hard-hitting year-end conversation, Professor JJ Tabane joins Mike to unpack:
-Why the G20 “success” is a distraction from zero growth and 50% unemployment
-How squatter camps, failed service delivery and decaying infrastructure expose the truth
-The Madlanga Commission and “crooks within” SAPS and crime intelligence
-Why the NPA won’t touch the real kingpins — in business or politics
-How the GNU has become a deadlocked marriage of convenience
-ANC succession: Ramaphosa, Mashatile and why breakaway parties keep failing
-The DA’s crisis: moonshot pact, Helen Zille in Joburg and no succession plan
-MK, EFF and why multi-party democracy still matters
-What the 2026 local government elections could do to the political map
JJ calls South Africa “a war zone” on crime and argues that voters still haven’t punished the political class enough. This is a blunt, numbers-backed reality check on where the country really stands going into 2026.
